Individuals I've met through various social media that self-identify somewhere along the LGBTQ spectrum collaborate with me in these images. Photographing these people over different video-chat platforms, I'm creating a connection without ever meeting them in person. I ask the people posing to choose a designated space to be photographed in prior to the video-chat, often a personal area they feel safe in. I work with them to arrange the image, leading to a collaborated photograph. These relationships, although important, aren't tangible in contrast with face-to-face connections.
